The Author

Megan Diedericks is a twenty-four year old writer from South Africa, where writing has been a passion since she wrote her first poem at around twelve years old!
Megan writes poetry and fiction, everything from meek to macabre can be found in between the lines. Her poetry explores themes of mental health and self-reflection; when they're not personal, her poems are speculative in nature. Her fiction mainly falls under the Horror- and Fantasy-umbrellas, in which queer characters haunt the narrative. She loves everything fantastical and fanged!
The Rhysling-nominee is the author of two books: The Coffin Chronicles and the darkest of times, the darkest of thoughts. Alongside her full-length work, Megan's writing has been published over sixty times in various journals and presses, both online and in print.
When she is not writing, she acts as the social chronicler of minor disturbances for foofaraw press, and the proofreader for The Samhain Moon Literary Magazine!
Otherwise, you will most likely find her crying over fictional characters, taking photos and videos of whatever catches her eye, or listening to music. Megan also enjoys arts and crafts—even if her projects come out a little wonky!
