Review of "I Contain Multitudes" by Christopher Hawkins
This book was so surprising and insanely unpredictable; there was no way I could predict what would happen from chapter to chapter—least of all that ending!
I loved how closely, as a reader, I was stuck in the thick of it all alongside the main character—Trina. The ever-shifting worlds are as new to her as they are to the reader, but a sense of familiarity sticks in one way or the other; this is something I thought was done very well.
The only thing that wasn't for me was the amount of similes stacked close together every so often, but in the same breath: many of them were beautifully written.
Other than that, I appreciated the little hints and imagery that kept popping up—things I now see were major hints.
In conclusion, I Contain Multitudes by Christopher Hawkins is a beautiful story and I'm very glad to have read it!
