Review of "The Foofs (2025): Best of Strange Fiction" from Foofaraw Press
What struck me most about The Foofs (2025): Best of Strange Fiction is how creative every piece is—
from flash fiction to novelette, all the concepts were amazingly weird and a pleasure to experience!
I loved reading each and every one of the stories; it's difficult to not just brand them all my favorite.
My favorites:
• Bone-eater Earth – Emma Burnett
The commentary is peak, and the writing absolutely immersive.
• Mumurations – AM Sutter
This piece feels so much like a void; you'll have to read it to know what I mean 👀. I loved it so insanely much, from what remains unsaid to sinking feelings—incredible!
Honorable Mentions: "An Infestation of Elliotts" by Galen Gower, "Final_Testament441.docx" by Matthew J. Hockey, and "The Truth Extraction" by Carla Ward.

Some of the wildest scenarios you can imagine? They've got nothing on the spiders, aliens, doppelgängers, monsters, and ghosts hiding out in The Foofs (2025)!
Definite recommend if you're into not having the weirdness overexplained and simply going with the Foof*.
